If your ultimate output will be in HD then you might prefer to record in HD, forgoing the option of 4K to keep your file sizes down. Although there are a lot of options, this setting is a good balance between quality and file size. Generally though, a safe bet for filmmakers is to use ProRes 422 or ProRes 422 4K.
